Feast of St. Mary

The Feast of St. Mary, the mother of Jesus, will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15 at 9 am at the Lady Altar. In this beautiful, spoken Eucharistic Feast, we will honor Mary as the one who birthed, raised, and supported Jesus, even to the cross. In the Eastern Church, Mary is given the title theotokos, or God-bearer. We will join with Christians around the world as we praise God for all the blessings of this life and give thanks for the life and witness of Blessed Mother Mary. You are welcome to bring flowers from your garden to place at the altar as a means of honoring Mary and thanking God.
