Baptisms & Confirmations

At St. Andrew’s, we LOVE baptism because through it, God adopts us as God’s children and makes us members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom of God. For that reason, baptisms are offered only during the principal worship services where the entire Body of Christ may gather and rejoice with those being baptized. Baptism is available to all people regardless of age.
Baptisms at St. Andrew’s are offered on the following Baptismal Feast Sundays:
- All Saints’ Sunday (November)
- The Baptism of Our Lord (January)
- Eastertide (March or April)
- Pentecost (May or June)
- When there is a need, we may also offer a summer date in July or August.
To inquire about baptism for yourself or a member of your family, please contact Harper Bathel, Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry
The sacrament of Confirmation “is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop” (The Book of Common Prayer).
Our bishop visits St. Andrew’s every other year, and in those years confirmation classes will be held for both adults and a youth. To learn more, please contact Harper Bathel, Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries.
For those confirmed in another Christian tradition, you may join our confirmation class and be received by our bishop into our Episcopal tradition.
