Funerals
The rite of Christian Burial is available to anyone who professes the Christian faith or for anyone whose family would find comfort by a service held in a Christian setting. Priority is given to active members of our parish and their families, but we will do our best to work with anyone in a time of great need.
If there is a death in your family, please contact our office immediately at 757-622-5530. Dates and times for funerals at St. Andrew’s must be approved by the clergy before they are published. We encourage everyone to pre-plan their funeral, and a member of our clergy would be happy to meet with you to help.
Members of St. Andrew’s, as well as others with close ties to our church, may apply to purchase a niche in our columbarium. We also have a memorial wall for those whose bodies are interred elsewhere but wish to be remembered at St. Andrew’s. The columbarium and pet memorial garden are available for prayer.
